The Original Board Blanket

We say that the concept was born of necessity (and Duct tape!), but the product of Design.  The Original Board Blanket is easy to set-up, easy to use,  and does what it is supposed to: It protects your wax, it protects your edge, and it protects your car.   

We talked to early users, took their advice to heart, and made a few adjustments to the basic shape of the Original Board Blanket.  

Now a little bit wider at the tip and tail, this 2024 update fits even more lengths and styles of snowboard.

A Christening blanket?  A stack of old concert T's?  Did you find your childhood sheets in mom's attic?  Want to give a truly unique Groomsman's gift with your fraternity crest as the interior?  Any fabric you want to send can (more than likely) become a Board Blanket.  

Sometimes simple is all you're looking for and sometimes nothing else will work but hot pink, or camouflage, or hot pink camouflage.  Not seeing the color or traditional pattern you're looking for isn't a reason to abandon protecting your board. It might only mean we haven't had a good reason to make that one. Yet.

 You never know what you're going to find at the thrift shop.  Consignment stores, garage sales, junk hauling, and thrift shops are a treasure chest.    Upcycling creates unique, short-run pattern combinations and keeps these (increasingly plastic) fabrics from ending their days clogging a landfill or choking a tortoise.  

We spend so much time searching, but we rarely come across some non-traditional pattern just screaming, "Choose me! Choose me!  I swear I was, like, totally created to protect snowboards, look at my logos, dude, and I'm on sale‽ You don't have a choice, you gotta buy me now."
